Blackfishing remained solid over the weekend on the 1/2 day trips aboard the Captree Princess. Sunday afternoon anglers were also treated to a Bass Blitz on the way home. Today’s 10AM trip caught 188 Blackfish and 21 Sea Bass.

THE CAPTREE PRIDE IS NOW SAILING 7AM DAILY FOR STRIPED BASS. Today’s Blackfish trip on the Captree Princess saw Eighteen fishermen catch over 200 Blackfish keeping around 40. REMEMBER NEW SAILING TIMES THIS WEEKEND 7AM & 12NOON. BLACKFISH DAILY!

Today’s Opening Day blackfish trip saw 13 fishermen catch about 160 blackfish keeping 26 up to 6 pounds. A few big porgies, a few keeper Seabass, and a couple of triggerfish were also in mix. We fished both bay and ocean.

Today’s 8AM trip caught 155 Fluke keeping 65 to 9.7LBS

This morning’s 8AM trip saw excellent Fluke fishing- 21 fishermen were just 9 fish shy of a Full Boat Limit of Big Fluke! We caught fish everywhere we went today. We are going to stick with the bay Fluking the next few mornings while the fishing is red hot. If you want to go Ocean fishing Thursday on looks nice, our sister ship Captree Pride will be sailing to the deep.

Today’s 8AM trip was decent. Twenty fishermen kept 40 Fluke to about 5 pounds. Looking like a very light crowd tomorrow (Tuesday) and we are sailing! We have more time of the good tide to work with tomorrow. 8AM-2PM. .

Today’s 8AM trip caught around 200 Fluke keeping 65. The 2PM trip caught 100 Fluke keeping a dozen.

Tonight’s 7PM trip is canceled. The Laura Lee is sailing at 6PM. Fluke fishing has been excellent on the 8AM Morning trips. Thursday saw another Full Boat limit of Fluke. Friday did not limit out but kept over 70 Big Fluke. Saturday was slower with unforecasted strong winds only keeping 20 Fluke. They were back on their bite Sunday morning as we saw super fishing.

FULL BOAT LIMIT OF BIG FLUKE ON THE CAPTREE PRINCESS THIS MORNINGS 8AM TRIP! Excellent fishing, lots of fish between 4 and 6 pounds. More of the same planned for tomorrow (Thursday 8AM). Looks like the ocean will settle down Friday through the weekend so ocean fishing is an option too starting then.

Today’s 8AM trip caught 86 Fluke keeping 16, 15 Sea Robins, 4 Porgies, some baby sea bass and a baby grouper.

Today’s 8AM trip kept 20 fluke and a showing of large Porgies. Captree Princess will be fishing in the bay the next few mornings at 8AM, taking advantage of the Fall fluke run. This afternoons Trip saw lots of action catching around 150 Fluke and 75 Sea Robins but only a dozen keepers.

ALL TRIPS TODAY (SATURDAY) WILL BE IN THE BAY. Today’s 8AM trip caught around 90 Fluke keeping 25 to 4.5LBS, kept a dozen big porgies, and 6 Blues. Today’s 2PM trip caught 32 Fluke, 5 Bluefish, 18 Sea Robins, 53 Sea Bass, and 3 Porgies.

Today’s 8AM trip sailed in the bay with a light crowd. They caught 60 fluke keeping 10, kept 48 Big Porgies, a big Triggerfish, 8 Blues, and released 100 baby sea bass, 1 snowy grouper, and 1 Grunt.

Tomorrow Thursday we are canceling our 8AM trip but Captain Rob will be running the 8AM trip on the Laura Lee if you want to hop on for Fluke.

Good bottom fishing this morning on the Captree Princess 8AM trip, a lot better action than yesterday. The boat kept 150 Sea Bass and over 500 Big Red Hake. Today’s (Tuesday) 12PM trip is canceled due to lack of interest.!!! Todays Fluke fishing on the 7 AM trip saw an improvement Eric and Jersey Joe caught 37 Fluke both catching their limit. Also on the way home there are giant schools of bluefish which bodes well for the next three days on our afternoon trip leaving at noon. Tomorrow, Thursday and Friday we are sailing 7 AM for Fluke and the weather looks great. !! Our afternoon trip also looks promising with big schools of bluefish flooding into fire Island inlet . Unbelievable bluefish jigging today on our noon trip the best in years. Yesterday was also excellent. Easy full Boat limit with high Hook catching 29 bluefish. we sell 7 AM for Fluke every day and tomorrow we are definitely out and we will continue to keep track of the giant Blues from our inlet to the lighthouse. Today we are catching the blues pretty good on our noon trip yesterday we caught some big stripers up to 25 pounds on bunkers and bass assassins. today the boats that Fluke fished so a little improvement with a lot less seaweed around. This week we are sailing 7 AM for a Fluke and noon for stripers and bluefish. This past Saturday’s trip saw incredible fishing with a boat limit of. golden tile fish and about 60 blue line tilefish. Captree Princess: Today’s fluke fishing saw an improvement. A couple of limit catches taken on this morning’s trip. Approximately sixty shorts fifteen keepers today. It should get better each day with good tides in the morning unless seaweed is around. We plan on sailing tomorrow Tuesday 8AM-1:30pm. CAPTREE PRIDE EXCELLENT FLUKE FISHING THIS MORNING KEEPING 20 with about 50 shorts. Quite a turnaround from yesterday‘s terrible fluke trip. Sailing 7 AM every morning the next few days look great. We also are sailing at noon for bluefish Weakfish and stripers. Yesterday we had a bunch of big Blues.

CAPTREE PRIDE REPORT !!! After our tremendous tilefish trip This week with the weather, we did not sail many trips . when there is no weed, we have some decent Fluke fishing. Today was terrible after the storm. On the other hand, our noon trip saw a nice shot of big Blues. The afternoon trips have seen more action than the morning trips, but with calm winds forecast the next few days, I’m sure the Fluke fishing will pick up. We sail 7 AM for Fluke every day and noon every day for stripers Blues and Weakfish.

Captree Princess Update: afternoon Ocean fishing trips this past weekend saw non-stop action with assorted tasty bottom fish! Light crowd saw over 100 big Ling kept & a few nice Codfish kept. On the released side … loads of big seabass (opens 6/23). Also released Blackfish and a couple of ocean Fluke! Basically a rod bending trip with a great bunch of people. THESE TRIPS ARE SCHEDULED EVERY WEEKEND AT 1PM ON THE CAPTREE PRINCESS. 8AM Fluke every morning and 1PM ocean fishing weekend afternoons.

Captree Pride Update: This past weekends Tilefish trip saw excellent fishing with an easy boat limit of Tilefish. We have these trips scheduled every Friday night in May & most of June. Locally, the boat was out the last couple afternoons and saw a few shots at Big Bluefish and Stripers- it seems like things are going to happen any day now with the Blues, Capt Ken says he can feel it. The Pride is Fluke fishing every morning at 7AM and fishing for Bass/Blues/Weaks every afternoon at Noon.

TONIGHT’S (FRIDAY 5/10) TILEFISH TRIP IS CNCELLED FOR ROUGH SEAS. RESCHEDULED FOR TOMORROW NIGHT (SATURDAY 5/11) AT 11PM!

Captree pride reports the last couple of days!!! fluke fishing has been pretty good with about 20 to 30 keepers for the morning trips 7 AM. Yesterday with a slow drift, we still managed 25 keepers and a bunch of shorts. The afternoon trips have seen a few stripers every trip with five keepers on Monday with a few shorts and a couple keepers yesterday and we released the 25 pounder. The afternoon trip leaves at noon.

Fluke fishing has been pretty good on the Captree Princess. Today’s 8AM trip caught around 100 Fluke keeping 23.

Todays opening day morning trip saw on the 8am trip about 25 keepers and several shorts released. The action was good for the mediocre conditions . The 1pm trip was much slower with only 3 kept and a handful released and also a few sea robins. tomorrows trip on the captree princess 8am is canceled but Capt Rob will be on the 8am Blue laura lee. light crowd expected , please book online at captree.com

Today on the Captree Pride Fluke opener we had a great morning and a slow afternoon!!! Around 30 keeper fluke for the day and plenty of shorts . Full sailing schedule will be posted when the 2024 regulations are finalized. In April, we will be sailing trips with our sister ship Laura Lee Express weekends for Blackfish & Cod.
